i believe a title to your car or the registration or insurance or something like that. It must be a legal form of ownership i believe.

Or you could grab a coat hanger and unlock. When I boughtmy del Sol I got locked out of it because they didn't have a door lock key, so they opened it with a long bar that looked like an unwound coat hanger along with a "wedge" that went between the glass and weather stripping.

The VIN is on the title. But the title and valid ID should be enough.

Or you can break into your own car. It's surprisingly easy. NO I AM NOT A THIEF. I just have locked myself out of my car so many times I know how to get into it.

My hatch body has 270K on it and the lock cylinders are worn so a new key won't work (I found out the hard way). After I wasted a trip to get a new key I broke into it in about 15min. older hondas are really easy.
