What are the gear ratios in the unit that's being offered for sale? What final drive?
Since you're selling the complete LSD and gearbox, this will fit <u>both</u> EP3 and DC5, right?

Isn't just a Type-R tranny balanced and blueprinted with a Spoon LSD?
Wirespeed was selling them but they removed them from the website, not sure why though.

All Spoon transmissions are stock Honda spec.
Hence, the Spoon K20 transmission has the same gear ratios and LSD as the stock DC5R.
Spoon orders the parts for the complete transmission and then assembles them to tighter tolerances than Honda does. In some cases, such as with the S2000 transmission, they do extra work to improve the driving feel and reliability of the transmission.
The big selling point of the Spoon transmission is that you get a new factory transmission at a price cheaper than what Honda charges.

where did you get this info from? .... The Spoon DC5-R transmissions are completely rebuilt using spoon parts... i know for sure that the spoon LSD is used...but I am not sure about the gear box...but I do believe that they do use "spoon" gearing and FD..

Don't worry I have Spoon LSD and Type-R Final Drive which changes all the gear ratios and makes my gears shorter than a type-R and LSD better too.

Just to give you a heads up until the time he replies, if he does, Spikey works at AJ Racing, the Spoon wholesale distributor for North America.
It is likely he knows what he's talking about.
I asked my question about gear ratios because one of the posters referred to close ratio gears and I wondered if they were different that USDM ratios.

No Spoon parts AT ALL in the Spoon tranny. Just OEM Honda parts assembled a little bit better than Honda does on the DC5R. $2000 for that? Yikes.</TD></TR></TABLE>
You get Spoon packaging or tape. LOL
