part# 23 assuming you have a 92-95 cause those are the mirrors your looking for

 

I would get it from Autozone.com. It is cheaper and just as good. I think mine was $20+ship. The honda site will charge handling and then shipping, which adds up on a small purchase like this.

My right inner tie rod is bad. I'm presuming that means the ball joint. All the parts I've found on Autozone are $50 up.

so just get the one for $23 on the link I posted a while agi. youll have the whole setup for under 40$

 

the ball joints are something totally different,they are what allow you to turn your vehicle they are attached to the upper and lower control arms,the tie rod is what your rack and pinion is attached to 1 for each side Left and Right respectively.The tie rod itself is a "ball joint" cause it has to be able to pivot with your suspension.
keep in mind if you replace your tie rod(s) try to put the new one on with the same amount of threads exposed as the old one,and it will need to be aligned to make sure its not toed in/out.

Might look into letting a reputable shop do it for you if you dont have the proper tools,just a thought!

 

dude the tie rod isnt a ball joint it does have a ball joint on it though and the ball joint is only a fraction of the pieces involve in what "allows you to turn the vehicle". If you back off the lock nut and mark it with some teflon tape before taking off the tie rod you can install it without NEEDING an alignment because it will only be off my a miniscule ammount and Im talking fractions of a millimeter on the steering rack.

 

i know that its not a ball joint but to be technical it has a ball and a socket joint and that is what allows it to pivot.as far as steering goes the upper and lower ball joint are what "allow" the tires to pivot left,right as well as up and down there is nothing else attached to the spindle except tie rods that help "steer" the car,i have worked on cars for a long time im not trying to be a smart *** i was just trying to be helpful.

if the tires are not wearing uneven then i agree you dont need an alignment but if the car is pulling left/right or steering wheel is off these are symptoms that there may be an alignment problem but tire pressure (being too high or too low) can also affect the way your car handles especially fwd.
