Default what cams

i have a ls vtec with 11.4cr with ctr cams
since i have a ls vtec i really dont ever plan on reving past 8k maybe 8.5k
and i want to up grade cams that will make more power than my ctrs
i was thinking about geting the sunk2 stage 2 cams
but my question is
will skunk2 stage 2 cams make a lot more power than my ctr even if i dont plan to rev it past 8k
i know these cams dont stop making power untill like after 9k but i want to get cams that will make a lot more power than ctr cams without reving past 8k
what cams do u guys recomend for my 11.4 cr motor without reving the **** out of it. but i want to get cams first

b18a block everything balanced
pr3 over sized pistons /itr oil pump/ gsr bearings/ls rods with arp bolts/ act pro light flywheel/

b16 head ported by rs machines/ 3 angle valve job/ with their ti retainers and duel valve springs
ctr cams / match ported stock im

How much power are you making right now? What are your goals? Have you thought of doing other upgrades besides new cams to make more power? What's the rest of your setup?

my set up is

b18a block bored 81.5mm
whole bottom end is balanced/ gsr bearings
pr3 pistons (11.4cr) ls rods with arp rod bolts/ itr oil pump/ act prolight flywheel

b16 head ported by rs machines/ ctr cams/ ti reataners an duel springs/ match ported b16 im/ stock valves

pr3 chiped ecu/ dc 4-2-1 ss header/ 3" short ram/ 2.5 hks piping magnaflow muffler/ car sound cat

i think the next best mod would be some cams but i want cams that will make a lot more power than my ctr cams with out reving past 8k

oh yeah anyone want to guss at about how much power this setup would make?

Header should most definitely be your next mod. That USDM DC header is choking your setup like crazy. You're aware of the header test going on, right?

It's hard to find a set of cams better than CTR's for 8000 rpm powerband. In fact CTR's are one of my favorite cams for any sort of setup because of their powerband placement. Something a little bigger and better to consider would be Skunk2 Stage1's or maybe EF-1 M21's.

i really dont want stage 1's cuzthere isent much of a difference from my ctr's if i'm going to buy cams i want something like stage 2's
but the question is will the stage 2's make more power than ctr's without reving past 8k and if so how much more power?
and yeah i know my header sucks but i want to get cams first and i really cant ever see my self spending more than 300 for any header and if i do get a head i'll get a 2.5" dc or a jdm itr
