I use DHR for all my port work. Both are good but Dave is by far much cheaper than Alaniz. I say go to DHR you will be very happy with the work.

how can you guys compare Alaniz to DHR? all of the claims that its a record breaking stock block b16? big deal! his heads arent on numerous 9-10sec. N/A cars are they? I say Alaniz hands down....you get what you pay for.

DHR was a turbo drag car based company numerous 9 sec turbo heads. They currently have an all motor crx that will be a top qualifer next year. Both are good but DHR's cost is almost half and the dyno's of daves b16 doesn't lie. That car dynoed at 160 whp before the head. You do the math.

Everyone will have a different answer. Unless you are a huge fluid dynamics nut, know and see each head porters work, and talk to them personally, you can't make an educated guess. You might'd as well just pick the closest person to you, which would be fkned or Ed's Racing Heads. His work seems to be top quality as well.

I want to know how I can get cheer leaders like Dave Hickman has. has this guy ever done anything amazing or he's just been around forever so you guys think he knows something?
If you have your heart set on DHR or Alaniz I would pick Alaniz-there is no doubt his stuff works.

A 9.4 b16a no nitrous, 2 years ago at LACR have the video did it back to back. Broke the dyno record at HARV's with 675 whp back in 99. Ran 10.40 on an fmu stock bore b16 at LACR. Made the finals at IDRC twice. Qualified in quick classes more than 10 times. Ran high 9's with no wheelie bars. He is getting his name dropped again because he has been quietly been getting alot of things going. A crx that will be a top qualifer next year. Lots of his cylinder heads out there that are making 25 whp very common. Working on a 210 whp b16a using ib spec parts and DHR port work. The guy has done alot just not in the last couple years due to a motorcyle accident that was horrible to say the least. He is back and how can people deny a 190 whp b16a with stock bottom end and ctr cams dynoed at import builders. The car ddin't have hondata either just a pm6 ecu w/ rpm switch for vtec which makes the #'s that more impressive. That's why he is working on a new one to document his building skills. Also Bisi is sponsered by DHR look at any of his magazine articles or even on here and Bisi gives dave thanks. There is a reason people like Bisi have said he is very knowledgeable and creative. No I'm not on Dave's nuts he has helped me with my cars and mechanical engineering projects I have worked on numerous times, just supporting someone who has supported me.
