Need help w/ '99-00 Sedan LX trunk light in a DX sedan!!
Heres the Q: My mom has a '00 Civic DX sedan. It has no trunk light from the factory. To some it may sound dumb but she's been begging me to get her one. My sis works for the dealer and got her the trunk light fixture from a '00 LX sedan.
First off im not even sure where it goes so if someone with this year sedan i.e. '99 or '00, could please tell me where the physical location of the light is in the trunk? I think i found the place for it, a little back and to the right of the opening for the 3rd brake light. Is this correct?
Also, If that is the place for it theres no wiring. I assumed it would of had a connector for it just no light assembly. That does'nt seem to be the case. Does anyone have any experience with this or insight to help me out? Please!
I know this is long but i really need help. Thanks to all

Any ideas? Am i looking in the wrong place? If anybody has any idea how to put this in it will be greatly appreciated!
Did you just get the light or did you get everything? Like the little switch that tells it when to turn on and off.
The only thing i have right now is the light fixture itself. Kind of dumb of me that i didnt think about that switch. Ill look into that. Do you happen to know if the wiring would be there even if the car didnt come with the light from the factory?
I guess i was thinking it was something like the 4th gen civics and the OEM clocks. The LX and EX sedans and Si HB's came with a clock but DX sedans, HB's and std. HB's didnt but when you remove the block off plate the connector is right there for one. Ill have to look itno the switch also. Thanks for the reply

the light is the one near the back seat take the inner side panel out and its the White/ red wire and the other side of the light is the ground. I have a hatch and I am pretty sure its the same deal. If not run a wire to the driver side floor board and use that wire if your mom will not let you take the inner side panel out.
