Default Pass emission test with turbo car?

My question is how do all of you pass emission tests in your town with a turbo car. I live in nashville,TN we have to take a tailpipe test here. What is the best way to make a b18c1 with max-rev turbo t3/to4e and 9:1 compression and I am running 440RC injectors and hondata. I have not tried yet I would just like to know what to expect. The car is obd1

Every one give me some input THANKS>>>>>>>>>>> >

Good question. I have emissions soon also, except we have a ECU plug-in test for 0BD2, and I'm converted to OBD-1.... dont know what I'm going to do

Let's get this thread going.

only thing you can really do and that is if you still have a cat and they don't check your Cel light is lean it out as much as possible to reduce your emission output.

That sux for you I don't know what you can do for the 0bd2 to obd1 harness you might need to have a stock ecu to pass I think all they check is cel. I maybe wrong.

More veiws would be great..................

obd2 they check the ecu via the dataport under the dash...if you convert to obd1 you will fail. obd1 they use a sniffer in the tailpipe and may do idle, and high rpm test possibly on rollers. obd1 you may need to lean it out and might not be bad to leave wg wide open so you don't boost.

i have obd2 and i just swapped out my injectors, and made a bypass plug for the resistorbox, disconnected the wg actuator from the wg arm so it would stay wide open and reset my ecu and drove on it for about 100 miles before getting it scanned. it only took about an hour to do all the work on the car and i passed with flying colors. driving n/a again really sucked.

why not slap a filter on the TB, swap out your injectors for the stockers, lean it out and see what she does? or i guess the counterpart would be just to swap the whole kit off for a day...

Cover radiator and run car up to 220 degrees. It will burn anything left coming out of the exhaust manifold. It'll only be run for about 1 min so it won't hurt anything. Plus newer motors can handle 200-220 degrees easy.
