Default Opinions on Alpine 9811

I'm looking to pick up this deck very soon and I was wondering what you audioheads all thought of it. I know Alpine has a great rep so I figure this was the best bang for the buck. TIA.

I've had good luck with my Alpine stuff, but if it's motorized, pass it for something else. My 7998 would get stuck about once a week.

The cda9811 is a great deck. Even though it's motorized, it should not be any less reliable than a deck with a direct loading slot. the number one cause of failures of CD players is the laser goes out of alignment and needs recalibration.

it is a great deck but i wish i had spent the $50 extra to get the alpine deck w/ the more powerful internal amp, because i dont plan on putting a 4 channel amp in my car.

23rms/50max compared to 27rms/60 max for a total of 16 watts rms more and 40 watts max more
for 4 channels
