From JIC,

Our shock bodies are made of stainless steel. Our
spring rates are 10k for the front and 7k for the
rear. You can special order any spring rate you like
at no charge, if you are willing to wait for them to
show up from Japan. We do revalve and spring our
setups. We do this because most people feel that JDM
suspension is just too harsh. It is still very track
ready though.
Thanks,
Kevin

thanks

do you know if the buddyclub racing spec is stainless? i know they are not aluminum.

both these coilovers are about the same price, construction would be the deciding factor.

hmm, chromoly or stainless. chromoly is strong. i wonder if the powdercoat finish will hold up, otherwise it will rust.

stainless will not, i think the JIC are raw and unfinshed.

Might be a good idea.
Oil/filter and tranny lube (tranny hasn't been changed since the rebuild 13K miles ago).

There you go, bud. I'm planning on picking up a set of these as soon as I get some more cash! I believe the shocks can handle a max spring rate of 24k?

Really depends on whether or not you want to race on them.
I could probable go with some more pring up front (to maybe like 16-18), but I still drive it on a day-to-day basis.
Only time will tell?

the racing spec damper is the buddy club, i am still wondering what the jic piston size is... speaking of buddy club i think we have one in this thread.

my excuse is very late work hours. i sleep in the afternoon, go to school in the morning. i miss most of the h-t "primetime" and it has killed my social life in the process but for some odd reason i enjoy it, getting drunk is dumb, coilover questions are much more educationally stimulating.

flt-a2's have 45mm piston.

the choice of finish on both jic and bc's seem quite durable.
both feature anodized spring seats and top mounts and
jic's have cadmium like plating on the shock bodies while
bc's have black powder coating.

the adjustable bottom mounts on the jic's are alumium btw.
