Yet another clutch problem....i think.
Ok, i posted a question the other day about this wierd burning smell coming from my car, i know for sure now that its my clutch now just because whenever i give it gas and hold off for a second or two before letting off the clutch i can smell it burning, as long as i shift fine, it runs perfect. Yesterday though, i was gunned it out of a parking lot and i got the smell worse then i've ever gotten it before, then for the rest of the ride, it almost seemed like i lost about 40 horsepower, when i would accelerate it would take about twice as long for the car to get to 60 mph , people talk a lot about your clutch "slipping" and i dont know if that is whats happen or what, all i know is their was a very noticable porblem, my friends 98 explorer burned my ***, thats how slow my car was driving. After about 2 hours of the car sitting in the parking lot while i was in a movie, i drove it home and it was fine, i raced another teg and i burned him, just wondering what i should do about this problem, do i need a new clutch or what?
