Default Hey ex-ITR owners, what was your settlement?

How much should I be expecting from my 1998 ITR with ~38000 miles in excellent condition?

v. sorry to hear, skaf.....

FWIW, almost 2 yrs ago, i got 19.5kish (+ tax and reg) for 32k miles on a stolen 2000. the bottom appeared to fall out of the itr market shortly thereafter, though. simply guessing, but maybe 16-17kish (+ tax and reg) on your car? *shrugs*

-k-b0t, who remembers the days of skafia wanting one....

depending on your insurence company. i would say around 16-17k. If you insured all your aftermarket parts, it will be like 20k. It sucks b/c insurence companys go off blue book. True market value doesnt apply. goodluck skafia. keep your hopes high

got 14900 for my Si
maxed out the "mod" clause of the insurance though (1000)
lit had a clean title, 34kmilesin pervect condition

PLUS i got them to buy me a beater hehe
my insurance was supposed to give me 20$ a day for a rental car
but instead i baught a sundance for 400$ it took 28 days go get us the money so the would have owed us 560$ for a loaner (i was nice enough to bring this to there atention and they wrote off the sundance)

All matters on the insurance company you have, if you opted to go with a cheaper insurance compnay chances are they are going to try to low ball you and give you something ridiculous. If you cannot reach a settlement w/ them you can always hire a adjuster to come in and try to raise the prices, ive done it beofre and it really works wonders.

I have AAA and I pay about $3000 a year for auto insurance.

They told me that they hire an indpendent company that goes around and searches for the FMV (Fair Market Value) of the car, NOT blue book.

I sent off all the paperwork today so we'll see next week what happens

Sorry about the loss. Your insurance company is a helluva lot more generous than most.

Looks like you will get a sweet deal out of it even though you wont have the R anymore
