cruise control power steering
how do i go about takn out the cruise control. how much does it weigh i dont use it. does ne body know where i can get a manual rack for a 91 accord lx or a way to take the p/s out but keep it lubed so it wont break
the cruise module, cable, p.s. pump, and hose together weigh maybe 15 lbs...maybe. it really isnt worth it unless you are truly concerned about wieght.

you dont need a munual rack if you leave fluid in the one you already have. dont drain it, just cut the line and let some come out, but not all of it, then cap it off. i havent had any problems with mine.

do a search over on h-a (honda-acura) (.net), there was a thread over there not but a few weeks ago about this.
Biascally, you want to loop the hose down at the rack, and keep the fluid inside.

Unless your going for a drag racing or autoXing machine.. i would say "Why worth it?" Cruise control is a definite plus on the freeway.. saves gas by controlling the exact throttle position.. we both know.. after hours and hours of driving.. your foot needs a rest.
i did the cruise as well so anything you need. let me know. do you have A/C or have you yanked that already. if you want to get rid of it let me know as well . all three can be done in an afternoon.
