ok this is the 3rd! time that a car in front of me has run over a piece of shreded tire on highway and it has come up to nail my front
lip....for those of you who saw my my lip at the show....its cracked in like 2 spots and has many many scratches all along it.

What does everyone think about painting the front lip spoiler black like the yellow ITR with the JRSC had on it??

Just wondering...and venting.

 

That sucks! THe same thing happened to me a couple of months ago. All my friends say that the battle scars give the car personality??? I so bad want the Spoon CF Lip, but they only make it for the JDM front end, so I guess that wont be happening till someone wrecks me int he front so insurance can cover it I dont think painting it black will look that bad. Does anyone know where I can get a CF lip for the USDM front end? Perhaps a Eurpean company makes them? Good luck in what you do to repair your lip and post pics if you do decide to paint it black.

eric's car has this on cw... cf looking... and it will go nice with a cf hood and a bra.

Yeah I can't stress enough how the Bra aided that impact on my car TJ. Just wear your bra and that will take some of the **** that gets thrown around.

As for the Lip, If it's cracked wouldn't you have to get a new one? Was thinking maybe remove the lip and drive around looking like an LS or a GSR.

2 reasons...if it rains the bra will screw your paint up...and with our weather I dont like always worrying about taking the bra on
and off....and the other reason is that a snap from my lip fell off so i have to replace it so i have something to snap the bra
to! lol

As for needing a new lip...nah...ill just have the body shop sand it down some and maybe a touch of bondo on the lower part
where its not noticeble...then paint it Black....but which color black should I do???

rain doesn't really affect the bra that much, if you're driving....just take it off and clean it when you get home if you're caught in a storm. but battle scars are cool, pristine paint is for parked cars.

TJ, sounds to me like you need one of those push bumper/battering ram thingys you see on the police cruisers

 

Yeah, you could put big round lights on it too.
