Installing PS2 and screen in 98 accord help.
I have a ps2 andi want to put it in my 98 accord. Not for your average rice boy reasons but i have a kid and myself that go to canada alot and we sit in lineups and would like to have something to do... My question is this, i just want a basic 5inch led screen..
How do i wire the screen to the ps2?
how do i get sound from the ps2 to play through my car speakers??
How do i wire in the ps2?
Thanks.

Most manufacturers have a seperate master unit that handles all your audio/video input. With the PS2, you will need a power converter.
Do you want an indash TV? Or do you plan on putting some in the headrest?

I plan on doing the same with an xbox. Will this also need a power inverter? What exactly is a power inverter and what does it do?

Power inverter converts 12V DC source to 120V AC source so that your PS2/XBox can power up.
Walmart has them for around $40.

ph thanks god. I thought they would be up and above 300. Power Inverter just makes it sound like its going to be easy. Is there any brands better than others?

1st Step..
Buy a good monitor. Spend at least 350 on a Monitor or you will never be able to see it, I don't care what people say on here or wherever, a cheap monitor in a car looks like Dooky.
2nd Step.. If you do get the Alpine they come with a seperate input box that you have to hookup. That way then you hook up the PS2 up to that.
3rd.. You will need a power inverter. They price range from 65 on up. You can plug those in your cigarette lighter or we hard wire them into the car so you don't have to do that.
4th..
To get into the Stereo pending on what Kinda Radio you have in the Dash. If you have an Alpine Radio or a Pioneer radio (couple others do it just these are the ones I carry) or if your radio has an AUX input then you can get it in that way.
If not then wire up and FM Modulator. They range about 40 bucks for one. Then what you will have to do is turn the switch on. Then turn the radio to 89.1 or whatever the FM Mod you buy works on then Voila.. The Sound.
But those are my suggestions.

Also, some manufacturers have a removable bracket that attaches the monitor to your headrest bars so, you can put it away when you're done. Farenheit is one of them.

I recently did that..but i just bought the screen for the Playstation 2...and xbox makes the same thing for xbox...and all you will need is the converter to plug into the ciggerate lighter area..All together my rounded out with the PS2 Screen and Power Converter was about 200..dollars.150.00 for the screen and about 50.00 for the converter..Good Luck
if you have some money to work with they have tv's that go directly to the ps2 but im not sure if u would want a ps2 sitting in ur car or u would like to hide it somwhere
