reseting ECU!?!?!
ok guys how long do i have to disconnect the negative battery wire to reset the battery. some said leave it off for 10 seconds some people said 15min!! and car has to be off correct?
i usually do the neg terminal for about 10 min
you can also pull the backup fuse for about 15 seconds
yes, you would probably want the car to be off when you're disconnecting the battery IMO and definately to reset the ECU (how would it reset if it's running?)

well.. if you have cel.. it might go away.. and you idle will act different - it will do that for next few start up as it readjusts.. you only need to disconnect for seconds..
