EG W/ ABS, are the axles different from the regular ol' axles you use on CX"s and stuff?

Default EG W/ ABS, are the axles different from the regular ol' axles you use on CX"s and stuff?

i just bought an eg si hatch with ABS w/ no motor, i was going to go smog teh car witha sohc motor, but the thing is, do they use differnt axles? cuz i have a million axles laying aroudn for regular ol cx and si cars, but not sur eif it will work with the ABS .. please let me know, thanks guys

they won't work w/ABS because they'll lack the "gears" on the outer part of the axle that is found on ABS cars. This ring generates a current in the ABS sensor.
Everything else will work though, except your ABS.

The regular CX axles should work to get you through the smog. The ABS won't work, but that shouldn't affect the smog test, should it? It you get an ABS light on the dash, I would pull the bulb or the fuse so no questons get asked.
