Default Custom Precision Turbo T71 GTQ Just In!!! Preview Pics!!

Well, I have made some major changes to my street car and here is one of them. This is a new Precision Turbo T71 GTQ With Custom Bling Bling Billet Front Wheel. Well, aside from the bling it is supposed to be a great turbo for cars with traction issues. From what i was told this turbo was specifically designed for cars with traction issues. Such as radial domestics and fwd cars. I'm not super technical but from what i gathered from the compressor map and talking with the head guy in turbo design at Precision, This turbo does not have a low end hit like the standard wheel t70+ turbos do. Not that it has lag but it doesnt have the same hit at low "compressor speeds" not Rpm's. In other words at the speed in which the compressor blade spins. So power builds more gradual and comes on hard up top.Sorry for lack of a better explanation but thats the only way i know how to translate what i was told. anyway here are some pics of the turbo....

Pm me with any questions or to get your hands on this turbo. or email mike@motormatrix.com.
thanks,
Mike

Very nice mike!!! I wonder how this thing will spool on my 8:1 D-Series?

I bet i could hit the 500Whp mark if i spun the motor 15k!!

Just a question, on the turbine siide there isn't any bolts to hook up the downpipe. Is there a adapter you suppose to get for those type of turbine to hook up a downpipe ?

yeah there is a round flange and clamp called vband. it makes for easy on and off of the downpipe.

Someones knows who the 1st victim is going to be

Jdogg-Turbo is rated 880hp but has made over 800whp on a rwd car so it is underrated for sure.

That turbo is crazy. The Buick GN's are running 9.57 @ 142mph with that turbo in a 3500 pound car. I am selling my T72 ball bearing turbo for one of those( T4 with .82exh housing). That turbo is the cream of the crop and I can't wait to put that on my Buick.

exactly right!! a RWD buick with more drivetrain loss than fwd laid down over 800 with that turbo. I know its under rated for sure. i dont want to go near 800whp anyway.

I like to push the envelope too but 800 is rediculous. i know it can be done because sfp pushed theirs to 840 on bottle but i dont have the $$$$ if it blows!!

Just curious, but if you don't want to go near 800whp, why buy this turbo? Seems like a bit overkill if you aren't trying to make the power it is intended for. Why not get a turbo with an efficiency range suited to your goals? Or is this turbo mainly for traction issues? No hate intended, just curious.

All though, it does make a nice dick extension

I plan to run 30+ psi of boost which is where the turbo is efficient anyway. I dont want to max out a smaller turbo at 40+psi but rather run lower boost and make the power i want with the larger turbo at 30-35. I still want to make 700+whp but anything over 650 at a reasonable amount of boost is good enough for me.
