Default Beware of ricebulbs!

Well, I've learned a valuable lesson about aftermarket headlamps, or should I say ricebulbs. The seemingly marginal difference in using 85W Hyper-mega cool blue ice platinum snow bulbs, fried my wiring harness.
The cool part is that the 'plug' or socket is the only damaged part. Unfortunately, this cannot be purchased, only the entire harness for $140.00
Anyone with a spare plug thingy? I guess I need to visit the local junkyard.

IM CoreyITR (not his exact screen name) I believe he has some left over from his experience

Most higher end bulbs wont melt your harness, Like PIAA, CAtz, Raybrig etc.

I looked at the Raybrigs but they too operate at 85+Watts.
Not to mention they're about a dollar a watt.
Correct me if I'm wrong but more wattage, is more wattage, that's what damages the harness right?

I use PIAA headlights and they are awesome. The visibility is much better. Hasn't fried anything.

Don't ever use overwattage bulbs. Only get ones that use the exact same current draw as thr stock ones.
