what axles are most of you guys running high hp running? stock?

reason is i snapped mine a couple weeks ago and i got the driveshaftshop level 1 axles

yeah i snap mines before. im using stock axles

 

try some gator axles, talk to flamenco-t for more details

 

how in the world do u snap an axle?????????? never once done it. i have destroyed like 8 differentials on stock axles, never one axle. U guys are lucky.
I would rather snap an axle any day of the week, over a diff

 

i blew up my stock diff once, and on another occasion i snapped my passenger drive axle near the hub. all this due to bad launching. on both occasions i remember poppig the clutch instead of letting it engage first.

 

yeah i broke 9 axles this year they were stock and im sohc so i have one tnats long as hell but im launch at 7000 rpm with 10psi on slicks and pull 1.7 60 ft. with stock diff. and axles and i break alot of diffs. as well

 

What kind of diff are you breaking?

 

I remember this one kid at the track with a NA LS-VTEC that i met up with told me all day that I would not break an axle and not to worry about dumping the clutch on street tires... His next run, he dumped his clutch out to launch and snapped an axle. Needless to say, it was rather funny. It doesn't take that much power to break an axle, as much as it take a really bad launch. Wheel hop is like an impact wrench on your axles / drivetrain. Wheelhop is the #1 killer!

 

I have been using raxles but when they die I am going to try gator racing axles, I have heard only good about them.

amen to that! i have messed up some alxes and it mostly from wheel hop on a bad launch.

 

How do you know when you've snapped an axle? I get wheelhop like a champ...

 

you wont be able to move in any gear

 

You will know when you snap an axel trust me on that one ^.-
I actually have a very humorous story about snapping my axel.
The day i first got my turbo installed I went bombing around town in it having fun for the first time on boost. I was passing people and what not. Well i passed the wrong guy and he got all worked up and started giving me **** and yelling at me at a stop light. I rolled down my window and flicked him off and was like "**** YOU ******* EAT MY ****!" I reved my car up to about 6grand and dumped the clutch right infront of him when the light turned green. Right as i power shift into 2nd gear my drivers side axel go POP!! I come to a rolling hault about 100 yards up and i pull into the grass AND THE GUY I CUSSED AT PULLS IN RIGHT BEHIND ME! I'm like ok **** this is going to be great. So i get out of my car and he's all like aww what did u blow that thing up? I was like haha yah w\e buddy **** off. He's telling me he is calling the cops and reporting me for reckless driving. I cant do anything cause my car is broken so I lock my doors and am like aight man PEACE. I walked to the grocery store to use there phone cause my cell phone is dead and I see a cop pull up behind my car they talk for a mintute and then the cop comes rolling up to the grocery store and I walk right passed the cop and get in my buddies car like nothing happend. I get away scott free and noting ever happend but I just hought u guys would enough a good laugh at that.
Moral of the story: GET GOOD AXELS SO WHEN U FLICK PEOPLE OFF U CAN GET AWAY!

looks like my car will only snap axles when i switch gears and the clutch grabs suddenly.

 

if you are gonna snap an axle, you'll prob. do it as you launch. Get some Drive Shaftshop axles.

i do have DSS level 1 axles, thoses are the ones i snapped

DSS is replacing the broken part for free. the level two axles are $700 for the set
very steep for me. no bling bling here

i dont have $700 for no dds stage 2. so i know what you mean. but that is good that thet are replacing it for free!

 

hey if you talk to a company nice and act professional, you can get alot of help and freebies you thought you couldn't get.

Gator stage 2 axles are less than that

Flamenco-T what stage gator racing axles would be good for 20-22psi. on a 2.0 gsr. and what kinda price.
