How do I find the lock code for a factory CD player?

Ok I just bought a 94 civic this week and for some reason the radio/cd player is locked! Whenever I turn it on it asks me for a code that I need to punch in with the 6 preset buttons. I tried calling the guy I bought it from and he has no idea what that is. He bought the car, turned around and sold it to me. When I took it for a test drive there was no problem with it. So would there be a way for me to find the code without having to take it to the
dealership and having them charge me up the *** for it? TIA all!

I ended up having to go to the dealer and cost me I think 50 bucks. Look in your manual thought, I think its supposed to be in there or people write it on the inside cover or something. You could always take a week to guess all the combos?
damn bro $50? my local honda only charged me $5...you'll have to go to a honda dealer to get the code, unless you want to try and get lucky and guess the code

It's off to see the dealer! The wonderful dealer of Honda!
Thanks for the tips though. I will try and find if the guy left the manual in one of the bags in the back. Thanks again!

Get the serial numbers off the radio. Once you have this you can call some dealers and get the security code from them. Others you will have to go in person to get the security code. If you have the serial numbers from the radio you will not charge the 50 bucks. Only reason they would charge the 50 bucks is the labor cost with taking the radio out to get the serial numbers.
sometimes the code is inside the car, i know on my old 94 accord, my 97, and my buddies 2001 prelude its a sticker on the ashtray. if you pull out you ashtray and look on it, it may be taped to the bottom. my friend said the guy at honda told him to look there and believe it or not it was there. if it isn't then call around dealerships with the serial number and find one who will give it to you.

Well looks I'm still going to have to go to the dealership...
I tried entering a code that I thought it would be but I guess that was the 10th and final try. So now I'm not even able to enter any more codes. Do you think if I disconnect and reconnect the battery it will reset??

Which Accords have radios with security codes?
My '99 didn't come with one (not that I would want it, who would steal a factory casette player? I have an Alpine 6 disk changer in the trunk)
