Honda In Dash CD Changers
Help - I have two Accords - a 2000 SE & 2001 EX. The 2000 SE hast the standard radio w/ cassette & the 2001 Ex has the all in one unit 6 CD unit. I would like to swap these two units. The dealer is "lost" to give me the information if this is even possible. His parts guy says the two units are incompatible & will not work. I am not convinced this is "true". Just say I am stubborn. Currently, I am pricing the 6 CD unit on EBAY (08A06-3B1-300) to put in the 2000 SE. Wow this would cost about $400!!
Can anybody shead some light on this subject?

I don't know about the wiring but i would think that you would be able to do that. If you are going to spend 400 bucks for a factory cd player, just get a good aftermarket mp3 player for about the same price.

It is not worth the money to put in a factory radio. Just get a nice aftermarket deck and install it yourself so if you want to put in an little more stereo it will be easier.
that is mine from about a year ago. i liked it because it was all compact and out of the way and i can still fit two golf bags in the trunk

they both have the same wiring harness, i believe, so they should work the same.
Have you taken them out yet, to see if the wires are the same?
