My advice is a good clear coat prep, like the Meguire's, to hide swirlies that are there from the previous crappy washes and waxes. Zymol is a fine product, but I'm even more pleased with the Meguire's wax (no cleaner, just wax). Follow with a polish if you like, bit I don't think it'll be necessary. Remember: when "detailing" the secret is in the small details that others miss... like waxing inside the doors, trunk area, under the hood, wheel wells, etc.
If you really want to do this right, I really really really suggest checking out Zaino products. I've tried so many waxes and products over the years and this stuff is just incredible. The only bite is you have to know someone who sells it. The vice-prez of our AZ Miata club sells the stuff on his site I think. http://www.robertsproducts.com
There are usually car detailing people in your area who may know of local sources for you, but this product is awesome.
Good luck with the Navigator and let us know what you used and how it comes out...
