Three ITR sightings and one R33 skyline in one night in Palo Alto.
Damn! It was a nice ride home from work tonight.
1. I pulled into the bank parking lot to go to the ATM and I saw a PY R with a carbon hood and gunmetal volk racing rims and a comptech exhaust. It was shiny as hell. I left them a note on the car and told them to call me so we could meet up and cruise.
2. As soon as I left the bank parking lot, I saw a CW ITR drive the opposite way of me it looked pretty stock, but I heard the exhaust. I saw them turning onto sandhill road.
3. As I turned on to Lytton street, I saw a black R coming towards me. As it came closer, I saw it was lowered with clear corners and some chick was driving it.
4. And finally When I merged on to the 880 freeway I saw a R33 Skyline fly by me at about 100mph. I caught up really quick just to take a second look because at first I dind't think it was a real skyline, since there are so many conversions these days. Anyway, when I pulled up to it, I saw the guy driving on the right side, that it when I knew it was real. I did't want to pull up any closer because I didn't want him to think that I wanted to race him. That car sounded so mean and looked so sick. It had a few gauges in the door pillar and it had a sticker on the side that said GRUPPIE-S.
I could not believe I saw all of those different R's within a mile of eachother I thought I missed out on a meet or something, that was just weird. Are any of you guys on here?

If you want to see more Skylines come to SF. There is a dude with a blue R34, a guy with a white R32, and another guy with a silver R32. All nice rides.

I have only ever seen one Skyline. There just doesnt seem to be as many over here on the East coast. The first one i ever saw was a white R32 and it was pulled over by a cop in Ocean City, Md. Well we were in my friends Supra and pulled a U-turn and went back and waited for him. He said that the cop went to the passenger side of the car first and then realized he was on the wrong side, haha
. Anyways, after the guy was done being cited we rolled down coastal highway just humming in second gear right next to each other. It was so awesome cuz they both sound so mean and people just glarred from every direction. Plus it was car show weekend so of course people were starring at a Skyline and a Supra rolling together.

Unfortunately, Australia has become a JDM boom town and pretty much all you see are Skylines and Silvia's of all sorts and ages just flooding our shores.
From, "Cool, check out that Skyline" a few years back to, "for **** sake, another Skyine".
The image and individuality of the Skylline and Slivia is lost for ever. Now just another mass produced car with a turbo.
Both the new found popularity and cheap HP of Nissans sports range over the past 15-20 years has given the new youth the chance tp put theirs or their parents money into an affordable sports car that can keep up with Europes finest or Australian Muscle with a few small mods and a lead foot.
Thats why I love my ITR.
