Default Should I buy this 98ITR Help!

I have this opportunity to buy a 98 itr with a clean title for 7000.00
Its a 5 lug suspension set up , and has ONE front damaged wheel , cost $ 80.00 plus shipping .one rim
The front windshield needs to be replaced , cost 120.00
Back latch window broken as well, cost $ 200.00?
front bumper and lip are scratched to hell, he drove through a barbed wire fence ( he is going to throw in a type r nose bra so i can cover the wounds up front ).
Driver side door and back quater panel have gouges and slashes across the lower side.
Interior is nice and complete with no radio.
Motor has crower cams and titanium retainers , afc vtec controller , dc header and skunk 2 exhaust.

the car was repainted in the rear but that was from being stolen and then recovered, it has lowjack as well. The insurance never branded the title so legally its clean. Is it worth 7k? what is your opinion!

Up to you.

I sure wouldn't but that is because I am a perfectionist.

if you think you could fix the damage for less than $6000 then its a cool deal. but anyways its hard to find a 98 so i say as long as the chasis is straight go for it.
post pics if you can

he got chased by cops and went off the road and into a barbed fence and brought the back end out a tad bit in the dirt. Im thinkin i will be in the car about 8200 if i decide to paint the whole thing.

what could you retail a 98 itr for with 160k ? any ideas.

its not worth the time, if you really want it. Try offering $5500 there is alot of stuff to replace? and it might nickle and dime you to death

If i were you i wouldnt buy it. Yes its true that many Type R'sdont go for sale everyday but trust me just be patient and if thats what u really want you'll find one soon it took me about almost a whole year of borrowing my moms car or bummin rides till i fould the perfect one for me in perfect condition with only 40K miles so i think u shouldnt get it.

Sounds like the owner was an idiot. He probably drove it like an idiot too. Save yourself the trouble and save some money for a car that wasn't used in a police chase. Dude probably beat the **** out of it. Crower = Vomit

yeah he did like to brag about how he revs it to 9500 , i asked...

what crower cams are these the billets or the re-grinds, he did not know and said he paid 1200.00 for them. hes a very cool guy, i just think the car was ran really hard, the valve job did not sound to well. Over all a repainted itr with some clanking crower cams with a 147k on the motor is a tad bit risky.

if you have a alot of time and money to restore it back to normal then go for it.

But as I see in you list of to do things- a windshield can go for 120, But a Proper windsheild would cost 250-300

Not to mention the motor can't last too much longer. More trouble than it's worth.

More likely his mom paid for the car initially, then took it back from him after he got busted for running from the cops and fuggering up the car.

4K-5K Tops I'd grab it. Just for history sake, and to restore it and such...anymore than that, it will just do more trouble than good...
