Default skunk2 stage1 camshafts with stock itr springs and retainers?

I have a 98 JDM spec ITR swap and would like to get skunk2 stage1 camshafts. question is, do i need to upgrade springs and retainers too, or i can use stock itr springs and retainers? Also, how safe is to use stock itr springs and retainers on stage 1 cams?

I just dropped the stage 1's in my us itr motor, no problem. Its pretty safe to run itr valvetrain with stage 1 cams since the stage 1 is like a step up from stock, I've met others that have no problems as well.

Absolutely, stage 2 and above require upgrades.
