Default Motor's FINALLY done and installed (56k go away)

Well after 4 months of waiting.... my motor is finally done. Not going back on boost for another month or so ($$$$), but I just thought I'd share the pix with you all.

it went from this...

to this...

then to this...

and finally this....

Looks scary doesn't it ::sarcasm::

the setup for all those who haven't seen previous posts is...

77mm D16Z6 Golden Eagle Sleeved Block
JE 77mm 9:1 Pistons
Eagle H-Beam Rods
Cometic 77mm Standard Headgasket
Stock D16Z6 Head
ARP Headstuds
Skunk2 Intake Manifold
H22A Throttlebody
Golden Eagle Fuel Rail
D16Z6 Tranny (gotta get another one... 3rd gear is fux0r3d)
ACT XTR6 (6 Puck Unsprung Disk + XT Presure Plate)
ACT XACT Streetlite 12.5lb Flywheel
Hurst Short Shifter

Feels good to be able to drive my car after so long (old motor was on it's way out). Still has a few bugs to work out but I'm just breaking it in now. and hopefully in a month or two ill have the turbo setup on it and possibly some springs and retainers for the head. Thanks to Dean @ C.A.R.D. in Ft. Lauderdale for the assembly and install as well as all that helped me decide on parts, questions, etc.

thanks. kinda pisses me off to look at it sometimes though. it's like cool... but it looks like a stock sohc with bolt ons and a big fuel rail lol. the potential isn't obvious... even worse so it's a sohc hehe

hehe. well yah it's my only car. i was driving the stock motor around after i sold the turbo kit, but one day while coming off an exit, the car just started to make clanking noise and it stalled and couldnt' keep an idle. everyone said it sounded like rod knock so i stopped driving it so as not to put a rod thru the block. i tried driving it one day again and barely made it home (5 mile round trip). luckily my boss had a jeep wrangler that he didn't really drive... was kinda like a work vehicle. so i drove that around for the last 3 months or so
