Default Block cleaning in DC area

Looking to get my block cleaned, but dont know where to go. I live in the DC area, if anyone knows of anyone they want to recommend let me know. I would appreciate it.

Take some simple green and some fine steel wool to it, with a little time a effort it will look great.

Sounds good but I also plan to get some machine work done too. I should have mentioned in here but didnt think about it. So really what I need to know is a good machinist in the area.

Burtonsville Performance Machine is a good shop, very knolegeable bunch of guys, and good prices and reasonable turn around time. Located in Burtonsville Md.

check the "favorite head porter" thread in either this forum of the tech forum. there is a guy named jim jackson (I think thats right) out near fredrick that a lot of people seem to regard very highly
