Thinking of getting the Type-R final gear for my Type-S.Does anyone have it?Or any info would be great.

 

I belive i read you can do it. Dont quote me though, as im sure someone else will ring in with the correct info.

Also, anyone ever find out if you could use the B Series FD in these trannies?

 

B-series FD is a mission impossible for the K-series tranny.

I see. I lost track of the thread where dude was talking about there are the same amount of teeth and they are the same size. I will try to find it. Thanx again for the info

 

Let me brief you on the FD. It will make your excelleration faster and make all your gears RPM a bit higher. @nd and 3rd gear is the biggest difference. But all in all it's a great upgrade.

for the record..there are three us models with k series that have 4.76 final drive.
element (2WD) civic si and TSX
somebody was saying that it was only JDM integra type r&lt;---wrong

Cool I have the service manual but it doesn't have the TYpe-R ratios, which I was curios about. I think 3rd, 4th, and 5th are different from the Type-S.

 

I got this off of the rsx forum.

DC5-R vs. RSX-S

1st 3.266 3.266

FD 4.764 4.388

 

I have a spreadsheet at home with all the gear ratios for different k-series. I'll e-mail it to you tonight.

infact its 5.06... inturn 5.1 FD has been developed for K-series tranny but price and release date is not givin yet.
does anyone know?
