Aftermarket Clutch and Flywheel for Prelude....
My friend has a 1998 Prelude vtec. His clutch is slipping pretty bad and he is looking for an aftermarket resolution.
He would like to do the flywheel at the same time.
What would you guys suggest. Clutch and Flywheel (and where I can get it)
He is going with bolt-ons for mods so nothing to serious is need, so just something that is reliable and is not a bitch to drive in city traffic.

. I had clutchmaster stage 3 before and so far I think the ACT is much better, you barelly let go of the clutch and it would ingage already.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Have to disagree..the ACT extreme is a bitch in traffic...I would reccommend the ACT Heavy Duty with street disc & a clutchmasters/fidanza flywheel - I've had this set-up for about 1.5 years with no problems....

Try Clutch Specialties HyperClutch 6 Puck Sprung. It's the same manufacturer as ACT, only they have a 6 Puck Sprung Clutch for better traffic driving.

Stick with OEM, if there are only bolt ons on the vehicle there is not a need for anything other than a stock clutch. Do some research on flywheels as there are a fair number available.

I would have to disagree. Aftermarket clutch and flywheel is a nice upgrade for any car, even slightly modded rides. If I could of done it over, I would of spent money on the drivetrain before getting a catback, or header.
To answer your question. I got the ACT XTSS and a Fidanza flywheel, and I got it from accordexchange, who is a good and trusted friend of mine. However, you can get the parts anywhere, not difficult to come by. Hope it helps.

wouldn't a lightened oem flywheel screw with the strenght of it? not too sure but i would thing that it would mess up the integrity of it.

I like my ACT heavy duty with unsprung 6 puck. it only chatters when you get lazy.
holds the power. Only time I felt it slip was when I raced 4 times in a row without letting the car rest. 2 against civic hybrids, 1 against a CRX hybrid and 1 against a 3000GT VR4.
