itr pistons in ls long block = piston slap and eventual cylinder failure?
is the dome jus too damn tall?anyone running these pistons with a non vtec head? speak on it peoples

I'm also wondering this, I am running a ported and polished non vtec head on my b18 with crower stage 3 cams and I am looking for more compression.
i've seen ctr's in a ls block itr would be fine...the cylinders should not give unless being boosted on somehow...or unless you have alike a .20 over block...or something...and if you put that together with stock pistons ur stupid...

so ls rods itr pistons (oversized .25) in ls block=stupid?
i also jus saw on inline four that toda makes gaskets that are thicker then stock to lower compression that might give jus that lil mm that the piston needs to fit in nice...
if this set up won't work im considering gsr cranks and rods and ctr slugs....

We have done LS block CTR pistons with non-vtec head and it ran very well, don't understand why the ITR pistons would hit! You might want to check if the ls head that you have has been milled alot, thats the only thing I could think of.

thank you for clearing that u i though it was whel there is clight contact between the valves and the piston. lol i guess that would be piston you jus got tko'd....... and not jus a slap
on me

if you put stock bore pistons in anything that is bored out you wont get slap you get mad blowby and 0 compression is what you get....there is no seal.
CTR piston in ls block is fine I had that in my old b18a. itr has less dome than ctr and less that p30 and pr3 for that matter.........ITR is the least of your worries.
