Conversation this morning:

Mom: "Where is your car?"
Me: "In the driveway where it always is."
Mom: "No it isn't, look out the window."
Me: [Looks outside....sees empty driveway]

So yeah, my 2001 Silverstone S2000 has disappeared. It was on my driveway at 2am this morning and at 9am, my mom noticed it was gone. I called Lojack and the police and they have it activated since about 9:30, but it's 1:10 now and there's still no word.

I have a sickening feeling that the Lojack isn't working right cuz when Honda installed it, the crackheads left like this thick wire hanging out. Gee, I wonder where the system is.

I do have full coverage and Lojack....so we'll see what happens, but still, I had all my **** in the trunk and car.

I thought maybe it was repo-ed, but I'm like 15 days late on ONE payment, and I'm sure they wouldn't just take it without notifying me or even ringing the damn doorbell to let me know they were taking it. I called them anyway, and they said they didn't take it.



I haven't even had the car that long. The only pic of it is the day I bought it.


Now I have to temporarily drive my parent's crappy 4 door Civic sedan. At least I should be thankful they even have a spare car for me.

Good things:
1. I did need new tires, so the no-skilled theivin thugs probably crashed it on the way to their hideout and died.
2. I got a rockchip on the glass last night so I can blame that on them.
3. No other good things.....

 

...damn ....thats ******* crazy ...why would anybody steal a S2000 ....

hope they find your car bro ....hopefully they just took it for a joyride ...and nothing more ....

Hang in there man, it will probably turn up. The good news that it's insured. So worst case scenario, you go out and get a new 04 S2K.

But it sucks having your car stolen. Happened to my Si a few months back.

im sorry to hear.... i havent heard of too many s2k's being stolen, but I've been through it w/ my integra, and it sucks.

I know this is not at all a time for laughing- but that did make me lol... sorry to hear about the car- especially sad when your working to make your payments/hold a job yu know.. how it all turns out for the best..

 

oddly enough, when the **** ***** that stole my integra, they wrecked it, flipped the bitch (i think 1.5 cuz it was found upside down). they didnt get anything off the car, only really hurt ( i hope). never found out who did it

 

That's a first that I have heard... sorry to hear your loss.

I'd be cautious for s2k parts showing up on ebay that don't have a VIN # on them.

Whats with all of these thefts lately?

 

if a theif can get access to your vin#, they can go to the dealership and have someone cut them a key. that way, they can take your car in a way that no one will really notice. make it a habit to cover up your vin#(behind front windshield) with a business card or something, do it at least when you park your car.

one thing that pops into mind are the leather seats. sad but true.

 

if someone stole my s2000, i would pray that its never found. so i can buy the new one that is.

 

how do you steal an S2000?....did he get it towed?....i mean i thought they had chips in tha key.....hmm.....

 

And here I was thinking about selling my R for a vehicle that is less prone to being stolen
