Default how do u strip paint?

i bought a used lip and i need to strip the paint. how do i do this? i tried to sand it down, but it looks like the paint is 1mm thick. do i just sand off the clea coat and then use paint removing chemicals to burn off the rest of it down to the bear ABS plastic?

also, wut kinda of clear coat should i use? ( brand and # coats)
the paint i m gonna use is from a custom shop that mixes paint to the color of your car, so should i just use wutever clear coat they sell?

Let the chemicals work for you. Use a paint stripper. On ABS plastic, I'm a bit apprehensive. It might melt it off, not sure. Might want to try it off on a hidden part. Brake fluid works wonders too and less harmful to plastic parts. As for the clearcoat, better buy it where you're getting the paint. There are several types and you would want it to be compatible with your paint. Good Luck!
