i was wondering how many miles does a stock gsr put up on a full tank of gas

 

I've gont 340 with combined driving....with a few rips to 8 grand every now and then.

 

I have gone as little as 220 and as much as 400 on a tank of gas.

it really depends on your habits, and where you are driving.

I have gotten into the bad habit lately of letting off the gas and then giving a little bit to catch back up, this eats more gas than you would expect, I generally get 260 miles to the tank, but I am getting about 220 now.

I really need to get out of this habit

 

generally 250 city, 350 highway,
but as little as 220 city

 

Considering that my tank doesn't fill up all the way most of the time (I'd say that sometimes it will fill up with about 1.5-2.0 gallons of space remaining), I get about 220 miles till the fuel light comes on. I think when the light comes on you still have 1-2 gallons left in the tank. I drive pretty hard too. I always do jackrabbit starts off the line when I'm going to work or school cause I'm always late.

Driving all freeway, like from Sacramento to L.A., which is about 360-380 miles, I can go about 270 till the fuel light comes on. This is with the air conditioner on the whole time too.

I always get 300.........no matter how i drive......

rarely i get between 250-300

 

i've gone from 200 to 430
the 430 was last summer when i drove 60 miles to work every day at 5:30am before i was even awake

but thats not realistic driving
normally i get about 320-330

 

I have been getting 260-280 per tank, and filling up with 10.2 gallons.

 

freeway: ~320
mixed: ~270
track: ~100

 

Ive gotten 350 or so on the highway, but ive NEVER seen my gas light, EVER. Im paranoid about running out of gas i guess

 

damn, some fools be gettin good mileage. I average about 280-300, 325 max goin about 80 on the freeway.

heh, the worst freeway mileage I got was going 110 from san antonio to houston at 4 am.

if you cruise in the vtec cams you can almost watch your gas gauge go down.

I've gone as much as 320 miles. now that i have an AEM CAI it has dropped a bit. I guess i have that symdrome also. just love the deep sound it makes. I'm up to 280 now adays.

 

The most I got was 340...riding with the gas light on. I could've even gotten 350.

Now I can only get 300 at most since lowering my car and getting new tires.

I have a 98 gsr.. only mod is a K&N intake..

Everytime I fill her up with gas I can only pump about 10 gallons into her..

why is that? is there like a 3 gallon reserve? One time I filled up when the gas light was turned on and I only got like 10 gallons into the tank.... i thought integras held like 13.2 gallons or something...

Well with a full tank I can get 270-280 is this normal? I cant come close to 300.. I give it a lot of hwy miles more so than local..

 

I get around 260-280 before the light comes on with mixed highway/city driving conditions (w/CAI and +18deg BTDC).

Tank is ~13.1 gallons (50 liters).

Tell me how you get 340, I never get that, I can only go to 260. I guess I'm still new at driving stick.

 

Kendogg, I had an 88 Acura Legend once, and when it got hot, all the gauges on my dash would stop working, (except the speedometer) they would all drop down to rest on the little needle. I noticed, that the gas needle would drop below the E line the same amount that it would go past the F line when I filled it up. Most people fill their tanks while the needle is still on or above the E line. I thik this is why you only get 10 gallons. It's not that you have a reserve it's just that you are not as low as you think that you are. I know I have never put more than 10 gallons in my tank before.

93 gsr roughly 320-340 with occasional beatings,highway,and city

 

the fuel indicator light comes on before you actually run out of gas....it's a warning for you to fill up.

the amount of time it stays lit indicates how much gas you have left. if it comes on and off, you still have some in your tank but fill up when you can. if it stays lit for a long time, you better find the nearest gas station or you'll be walking.

my case in point, whenever my fuel indicator light comes on, i can still drive for about 40-60 miles.

if you want to determine your mileage, just take the number of miles you have and divide by the number of gallons you pumped in. make sense?
