Please don't buy anything from those b@stards. They bought my old company out, sucked their resources for a few years than sold them and we all got laid-off.
Also, last xmas the zip-zaps were at a shortage on purpose. They didn't make a lot of money off of them yet they advertised the crap out of them at a cheap price to lure people into the store. Of course there were none to be had, because the profit margin on them wasn't great enough--hence they were not stocked.
Ok, my rant is done. Back to the thread now

yea, iv seen those, pretty quick by R/C standards. i think they r pretty cool because of all the engine options you have to get not to mention you can get an AWD conversion.

I have one on my desk right now with a stage 2 drift motor and a 5th battery hidden under the body. It has a little bit of traction problem. Next week I plan to replace the FETs and order a custom motor.

I think what they were doing was very under-handed, but I don't know if it was illegal because they did produce a few units and you could get a raincheck for more, but the ETA for those were welllll past xmas last year.
They'd put a handful of zip-zaps on the shelf after the flyer ran, then give rainchecks to anyone who wanted them. They were gambling that with an ETA so far away, that you'd not buy one then go buy a larger remote control car (which they make huge amounts of money off of BTW, especially the batterys) and be just as happy.
RadioShack = very crooked. Buyer beware.
