Love the cutted interior!

I would love to go that far with my car, but I need some kind of noise other than the engine when I drive it for over an hour!!!!

Very Nice!
It must have started life as an 85 Si.
What's it weigh?

Zygspeed,

Yes, an 85 crx si. original block, 87 si head. The car is approximately 1615 right now, wet, no driver.

Thanks for putting the pics up. It's an insparation for me to get off my butt and go back to work on my 87 crx (needs a lot). Did you paint over the interior tar? I'm in the process of removing it right now and it's a pain in the ***.

The interior of the car was like that.....I bought the car as a former bracket drag car, and it's now solely an autocrosser. I'm working on the rear tar at the moment. That stuff actually does weigh some, so it is worth the hassle...but, I'd recommend dry ice or something of the like to harden it up first. I'll probably work on that part more in the winter. My other project for the car this winter is to hand fabricate either an aluminum or carbon fiber dash, with some type of integrated defroster out of JC Whitney, to allow this thing to pass inspection (small requirement of a local sports car club). This car should be a higher 14 second car now (14.8 - 14.9). Not terribly impressive, but handles great. Cept the ACT 4puck clutch is a bit tough for any reasonable driving.

where do you autorcoss - i also race an ep 86 si. have you put in a racing cam? that makes a huge difference. what about boring out the engine? you can put the integra 1.6 pistons and rings in that block without a problem with the clearance. you can also use the integra ecu to give you a higher rev limiter. the crx wiring harness plugs right into the integra ecu, no manipulating. you can also lower that car a lot more than you have in your pics.

good luck with racing, i hope you are doing well!

No one will be stealing the stock Honda radio pumping out the beats to the one stock Chrystler speaker I have.

Thanks. It's got a Gude high lift cam in it, 1st gen integra injectors, fuel rail, and ecu. I'm thinking about the pistons. I autocross in the Pittsburgh, PA area, at the Steel Cities Region, as well as some local clubs in PA and Ohio.
