I'm pretty sure I have a problem with my ignition switch, but I just want to verify before I replace it. When I have the car in accessory mode, the radio and everything works. The flashers and door locks work. When I turn the key to the Run (II) position, none of the guage lights come on. If I move it slowly into that position, I can get everything to come on, but once it clicks into place, everything is gone. In the start (III) position, all of the guage lights come on and the car will turn over, but as soon as the key is back in the run (II) position, it dies.

I've got the car apart and I need to get the ignition switch from the dealer, but I Wanted to make sure this is the problem before I go ahead and replace it.

 

the dealer charges too much for anything. Try going to the junk yard buddy! it'll be a lot cheaper. The same thing happened to my old honda civic
