Will an accord EX wiring harness work on 5th gen lude with jdm H22 swap?
Here is my deal..i have a 97 lude shell, i am ordering a jdm swap, and its obd1...the rhd harness wont work.....so im looking for a usdm vtec lude harness or an accord ex vtec harness, as im told the accord one will work.
Will still need an OBD2 to OBD1 conversions harness?
thanks in advance

I would like to know so Bump it goes back.
My friend is doing an JDM OBD1 H22 into the OBD2 CL(the old one with the SOHC 2.3 I dunno if it was an F or an H something. Anyhow does anyone have any ideas of how to take care of the wiring??? That **** is such a pain in the ***, please give me your 2cents on this subject matter.
Oh Yeah I did searches also and this was the only thing I came up with.

i did it the easy way, though i spent a little more....i bought a 97-up lude base model wiring harness for the engine bay so it will plug up to the connectors on the shock tower, then i ordered a Boomslang harness for the obd1 ecu i am going to run, cus the obd2 ecu will throw a f**kton of codes with an obd1 motor...or contact
J. Davis on here and he can make u one....so everything on my car is going to be plug and play...
, in theory, but now i need all the small mickey mouse crap for my motor like belts and hoses and junk...peace

Still the same subject. Someone gots to know this stuff. I mean everyone is building 500hp motors but does not know about some wiring on an H22 damn.
Here is the 411, 2000 2.3CL SOHC transplanting H22 JDm OBD1 motor. Need to know about the distributor connections, how and which wire is which.
Anyone??????? Please.....alright pretty please.......

You do know that putting an older engine than the year of your car is illegal...right?? Also, since your car came from the factory ODBII...you have to put either a 97-2001 H22 into your car....right?? You cannot put an OBDI engine into an ODBII car.
Well, atleast it is that way in Maryland. I am 99% positive it is the same for the rest of the states too.
Good luck.

WELCOME YA'LL!!!!
done here in NC, they don't give a ****, same goes for SC and Alabama, prolly quite a few others as well
and yes, we are putting an OBDII engine in an OBDI car, i've done it before, twice actually, and im about to do it again. all u do is use the OBDII engine harness and dont use the extra plugs (like the crankshaft position sensor) and plug it into the the shock tower plugs like normal, then use an OBDII->OBDI jumper harness for the ECU, and the ECU never checks for the extra sensors that are used on OBDII engines

First off I want to say Happy New Years 2004 to everyone.
Now about the wiring thing, no it did not work but my friend got it to work after reading a few wiring diagrams. I was sleeping at home when they did it
.
In FL, nothing is illegal till you get caught.
Serious it's not illegal here, even if it is there are no emissions check here.
Even when there were emissions check you still get away with some crazy ****. I had a ZC motor in my CRX before and it would not pass emission cause of my ECU program. The inspector came to my window and said "give me $20 and I'll pass ya"
You know what I did.........gave him $20 and off I go. That was one of the reasons that emissons testing was taken away.
