Help...need info on tires for acura 1.6 el
Hi All.. I own an acura 1.6 el (Canada). The factory installed tires on the car are the michelin xgt v4 195/55/15. The tires are great on dry roads but a hazard in the winter... At 190 dollars a tire, I really don't want to spend 800 bux on performance tires that turn into skates in the winter. Does anyone have any suggestions on tires i can put on my car...??? thanks

hey, i was just up in canada this past weekend (montreal) and its sooooooo FUNNY up there. First, i'd like to say the 1.6 El's look so nice. Its like a mix between civic/tl/accord. Anyways, i have a question.... why does MOST of the cars that are suppose to have STOCK RIMS, come with HUB CAPS? And the worse part, the HUB CAPS ARE MISSING! I drive around montreal and wonder to my self... its the saddest thing. i was just appauled seeing such nice cars roll around with missing hub caps. For one, i seen a 5 sereies, Audi a4/a6/a8, acura tl (new and old) tsx, cl, cl-s, tl-s. Mercedes, g35... i just don't UNDERSTAND. i felt so sad seeing such nice cars roll around with black steelies... i think u canadian pple got robbed. in the states, rims are standard equipment.
back to the question. what tires are you gettin for 190? Cause you can just order rims with tires and it'll be better. It depends how bad your weather becomes in the future. YOu can just invest in a winter set of tires, and change back to stock tires in spring. MOntreal just had a snow storm.. everything froze over, and yea, that place is hilly.. so driving was a bitch.

we take off our rims cuz of all the salt and gravel the put on our roads
.... u should come to Alberta all the cars in the winter months have black steelies .....i luv my steelies
