Does the JDM DC2-R Rear Lip fit on bumpers before 98?

Saw 1 on the net, but it said that you must have a 98 and up rear bumper, true?

 

Dont have any idea why it wouldnt fit...........Its all the same generation car just a different year. Anybody agree that it should definitely fit?

 

The oem rear lips? 98-01 only.

 

The rear bumper changed on integras in 1998 and that is likely why it won't fit 97 and older. Same with front chin spoilers from USDM type-Rs. 98+ only unless you find a 97 R lip.

Totally different rear bumper 94-97 than 98+. That's why it won't fit.

 

Is there even a JDM-R Rear Lip that would fit the old style bumper, or must I go aftermarket?

 

Aftermarket.

Plus that rear lip is also available in the US as part as the aero package offered by Acura.
