Going From 97 Civic Si Stock Motor To B16A.
Guys,
I recently had a swap done at a local pro shop. My car was a stock 97 Civic Si engine and auto tranny and it was swapped to a B16A -JDM with standard tranny. I was wondering what wiring is involved??? from what I understand the car I have has ODB2 and the new engine is ODB1.
The shop has finished all the required labour apart from the wiring. Is this a tough job and how long does it take roughly ????

Use your stock wiring harness from your car, and put it onto the B16a. You need to either add the CFK sensor or convert to OBD1 otherwise you will get a CFK check engine light. You have to add the appropriate wires for the VTEC solenoid, pressure switch, and knock sensor to the ECU.

He's one of our friendly neighbors to the north.
in canada Si = EX
and SiR=Si
So he basically had a stock EX motor before.
