header w/ 2.5 collector plus a type r cat back a good combo.
I'm thinking about getting a ctr header with a 2.5 in collector with a type r cat back exhaust.
Is this a good combo even though the piping is smaller then the collector.
Or should I get a header that has a 2.25 in collector. Thanks

Why ctr headers? I think they are the same headers as the 96-97 jdm itr which is made out cast and wouldn't yield that much hp. Not really sure though.
i'm looking for a cheap 4-2-1 header, that's y i'm looking at the ctr. Plus it has a 2.5 in collector. but i don't know which direction to go to since i'm getting a type r exhaust.
would it be better if i get a 2.25 in collector or if i get 2.5.

CTR is stainless, it's just 4-2-1. Get a Carsound 94006. Also the ITR exhaust has a BAD bottleneck where it bolts to the cat. Get an adapter from smsp that goes from 2.5" to 2.25" that not only transistions nicely from the cat, but rids that ugly bottleneck. You can also ditch the 2nd resonator on the b-pipe and have the end of the b-pipe and the begining of the axle back opened up to 2.25" from 2". That's the 2nd bottle neck. Yields around 3-4whp across the board by performing these mods. Still silky smooth and quiet.
