need more power. no boost for me.
ok, im running an LS/VTEC setup in my eg sedan. its a stock b16 head with a stock LS block with about 70k and its starting to blow smoke a bit. so its time to rebuild. i need a ton more power on pump gas. i want a cost effective all motor answer. what pistons?? what rods?? i want about 210 whp. im also looking to do an extra 50 shot of spray. i have a winter car/second car so i can pull the motor for awhile. what should be done?? and what cams too??? i need over 200 whp and a nasty *** vtec changover. please let me know, i need to start buying parts.

i get 93 octane where i am. i was told i can get a full bottom end built for $1300, labor included. this is including any spec je piston i want. im thinking dome top 12:1. eagle rods are also included with this setup. ill be using the lightweight rods and the stock LS crank. do i need headwork right away? i know that ill need it pretty soon after the bottom end build, but ive got the offer for that price right now. i can install the cams with the head on the car. id like it to run 13s with a stock head and the high compression bottom end. is it possible?

$1300? man you buy the block, buy the pistons and rods. you can get em for like $850 and you find somebody that knows how to put it together(if you don't know how) for like some cash or some beer or something along those lines and you have yourself a bottom end and you saved yourself alot of money. i am running a stock head with ctr's and cam gears. mine does just fine. what head are you gonna use or you already have?
i have a b16 head on a b18b block. i thinking of picking up another block and building that so there is no time when the motor is out of the car for that long. yeah, i think thats what ill do. but what pistons should i go for?? i dont know if i need to go with forged with that much compression (plus no oil squirters on my Ls block) or should i just go with like an ITR piston setup?? i dont know what to do yet. i need to know what u guys think. i only wanna do this once, not pull the motor 4 times a year.

i am personally running je 11.5:1 pistons. if you want a fast, strong motor i would get pistons besides itr's. even though i do have some itr's for sale if your interested, if you do go aftermarket pistons, i would suggest going after market rods too
You should go with:
Darton MID Sleeves
JE 85mm 11:5.1 Comp.
Crower All Motor Rods
Skunk2 Stage 2 Cams
Skunk2 High Comp Valves (standard size)
Go with a big bore and sleeve your block. Lotsa power!

still save him some money to put the motor together himself insead of somebody assembling it for him.
