Default Ping Noise...need help!?!?

Hello all,

I own a 1990 Honda Accord LX Auto. I've been noticing that after I use the car for a little while and then shut it off I hear a ping noise coming from somewhere. After some time it goes away, but this seems to be happening every time I use the car. Just wondering if anyone knows what this problem is, and any possible fixes and the cost. Thanks in advance.

if its after you shut the car off its just the exhaust playing jingle bells, its normal so dont fret.

Thanks, but do you think you could explain it better and if a fix is possible the price? It doesn't bother me that much but I'd like to know a bit more about it. Thanks again.

As all the parts cool down, they move against each other, making creaking sounds. Same thing happens when it's warming up, but you don't hear it with the engine running.
