Absolutely beautiful. If I had the financial means, I'd go for it without even thinking. Good luck with the sale and I hope you find a good loving home for it.

why is the "R" in this sticker too far over?....looks like this sticker has been replaced or whatever at some point after it rolled out of the factory

Good catch. Long(ish) story. The sticker was removed and replaced a long time ago. About 4 years ago I thought about going for the clean/stealth look. I was going to remove the stickers. I worked very close to a speed shop (SpeedSport) and I had visions of their employees or customers jacking my car from the work parking lot. Someone had already paid me a visit and stole the emblems a few days earlier!

The car didn't look the same without the stickers so I replaced them. It was a dumb move that cost me a new set of stickers. The car is not complete without the big red R and wing IMO.

An alarm (rather than the stealth look) seemed like a better way to protect the car so I got an alarm instead.

That shift **** is from a GS-R. I drove an LS before the R and I preferred that shift **** so I traded with a friend who wanted "Type R parts" in his car.

The 97/98 Rs came with a (relatively) long shift ****, similar to the one in the NSX. The shorter **** in the RS/LS/GS-R feels better in the palm of my hand. Better feel = smoother shifts = happy transmission

If the buyer insists on getting the original shift **** I am sure we will be able to work something out.

I'd be willing to pay what my insurance agent would pay me under Comprehensive coverage, in the event it was totalled, as is with 102k........(which is a factor because all of these things get stolen and stripped)
