Who makes the tightest 4" radius??

Default Who makes the tightest 4" radius??

as the topic says, my inlet for my turbo is real close to the drivers side "frame rail" and i need to get some type of filter onthere? i was thinking of making something out of a 4" tube but maybe you guys have other ideas?? thanks also my turbo has a 4" inlet

Default The tightest possible...

...will be "doughnuts". Just get a doughnut and chop it to the size/angle you need and viola. They are not cheap, but that's due to the expensive equipment required to make them.

the Dnuts only go up to 3". For some reason they look really sexy to me......

wow thats amazing! how the hell is that made? I dont even see any seems or welds in the metal.

You can get them larger - maybe not from RRE but they do make them.

Also, for 4"+ bends, try a good diesel truck shop. They should have tight radius bends and possibly even doughnuts. I'm sure you can find a 90 degree elbow that will be tight enough if you cut down one or both of the legs to fit your tight spot...

Look real close in the center of the doughnut hole - they are seam welded like exhaust piping.

I would love to see how they are made though - very cool.

They're welded on the outside, and there is actually an open seam on the inside.

Take a flat circle of metal, and put it on a press with a half donut mold. Press. Repeat. Weld the outside of those two pieces together. Tah-dah. Donut.

The 3" I used for my downpipe was amazing. At $55 it damn better be!

great, i looked a rre site and they only went to three inch.. i guess i will check the diesel shops around here thanks
