to night i raced my stock 89 honda crx against a 94 or 96 caviler and i lost, we started at about 35 mph, no flagger, he said go, whats up with this?

Most of the Cavalier Z24's run mid-15's at the track around here. Don't be sad you lost .

some guy from town here just got a chip, an intake, and an exhaust for his z24. He wants to race i'll have results soon. my ecu is finally back and I'm gonna smoke his ***. it goes back to an old saying my father used to use. there is no replacement for VTEC.

 

Well i guess not but i was hoping so..
how do you launch and shift[at what rpm?do you speed shift?..power shift?]
i sidestep the clutch at the revlimiter w/o letting off the gas..its WAY faster than speed shifting at redline.
what rpm do you launch at?
maybe you can improve your driving a bit and do a few simple mods and go back and own him like you know you should.
