Lookin' for my first prelude(5th gen)..help from u fine pros
Well, after those ***** stole my car and possibly did a drive-by in it...i don't feel safe driving it around anymore...SO...im thinking of buying another car. I want a new gen prelude HOPEFULLY in a white color...50-75k miles on it and no mods..manual, of course...how much am i looking to pay for such a car...i am a daddy's bioch so i dont have permission to modify my car, so i need a fast car stock, and since i wanna keep it honda for now, i think the prelude would be a great choice for me. i want to know the ups and downs of owning a new gen prelude and the prices i should expect to pay...thanks
i agree 16-17 year olds don't need a 13 sec car for safety reasons. but Nospace is 19 years old, so he needs a 9 second car.
My first car was a talon that ran 13.0 that i baught when i was 15. (yes with my own money too) it all depends on the kid that buys it and how responsable they are. not saying i was very responsable but i didnt wreck it. but i did do some stupid things.
and now im 19 trying to get my teg to that 13.0 status
not to far behind.

my '97 Base model had a tad over 74k miles and it cost me right around $11,500 with taxes, tag, title, and ****...just shop around and compare some figures from the kelly blue book. http://www.kbb.com

Hmm, I came across 3 pearl white 5th gens in my search for a Prelude. But they weren't in great condition, so I ended up buying a black, 99 base Prelude.
As far as prices...I just bought my Prelude today, paid $10,800. But with taxes and warranty, it will probably end up around $12,000. This is for a base, 1999 Prelude with 69,380 miles.

97 & 98 had a recall for the timing belt auto-tensioner, along with nearly all 97 + Honda's for the ignition recall. That's about all I can remember off the top of my head.
