Default AIR carbon-fiber IM...

lookin through jan import tuner in the power gear section, i see an ad for AIR(advanced induction research). they make carbon-fiber IM. the prelude one suppose to be in the works. just thought you guys would like to know. if anyone wants more info, it says to contact Endyne Racing at (817)924-9334. hopefully this would not turn out to be another "skunk2 IM".

ah, the infamous Endyne CF IM.

Whatever you do, don't attempt to put it on a near stock motor, or the man will go ape on you.

What man will go ape? But, he is right that IM is for extreme all motor or FI aplications only.

The Man, as in Johnny Law, The Fuzz, Five-O, you know the police, if you didn't get it.

The AIR is a very nice intake manifold... but keep in mind it runs around the $1895 range. A member did a AIR vs. JG IM challenge on the dyno and basically the AIR stayed 76-78 IAT degree's while the JG reached temps of 99-115 IAT degrees. For all of you number fans out there, how does this sound?
23 more PEAK HP @ 9k
45 more HP @ 7500rpm
40 more HP @ 6000rpm

built b18c1

Personally I love the design of the manifold, the plenum is tapered at an angle so the air flow remains as close to equal throughout all four runners (especially helping out runner #1). The runners are also tapered which also helps out to transfer the air flow from the plenum to the cylinders more responsively. The manifold performs, but the price is a bit costly. One cost efficient alternative to keeping IAT's to a low would be to add nitrous...

LOL

no, Larry Endyne. I saw a thread on when he first came out with it, and some people were talking about it. Evidentally someone noted that it wasn't "mildly modded friendly" or something about the price, I don't remember exactly...

Anyway, Larry Endyne started cussing out these people calling them idiots and saying "if you have a near stock motor, I don't even WANT you to own something like this of mine."

It was pretty funny. Something like I would've done back in the day... although, not my personal choice for a business owner.

I'll take two...but seriously, at what rmp would an H22 be able to take advantage of the higher flow? over 8K rpm?

that is one of the sexiest things i have ever seen. nice numbers too. a bit on the pricy side, but we're performance nuts, so who cares
