I do know it's been done. I am quite interested myself, as I have wanted and talked about doing this before. One question, I thought the bottom of the blocks, h22a1/h23a1, were almost the same. Please correct me if I was wrong about engine codes as well.
BTW, I'd love to see a faq or write up about this addition/modification.

yea, i mean i can get an H22 head off of ebay for pretty cheap, somethin with some low miles, and i know id have to get a new ECU (for vtec, etc.), and im trying to find out what else..i know some type of wiring has to be done and stuff...but yea, i think itd be pretty sucessful if i followed through with it and also hopefully come out with some impressive HP gains. but thanks for the replys
Search around for H23vtec and stuff like that, theres a bunch of info on it. It HAS been done, some people successfully and some not. One that i've seen a while ago was i think Jeff's from ImportBuilders.
It might just be cheaper to go w/ a straight h22
