Field's Vtec ctrl settings
I have a Fields vtec ctrl ...and im wondering whats the setting on the dip switches on the back of the ctrl .....for accord 98-02.....right now I have this setting= up, down,up,down,up,up,updown....is that the one??? help please...
I just got mine installed this weekend. I set the dipswitches the exact same way you did and I'm guessing it's not right on mine either.
lemme guess, tach and speedo both read low, gets worse as rpm/speed increases.
I'm thinking that it's just not compatable with OBD2 cars, but I'm gonna do some more research. if not, I'll just sell it. I got mine for super cheap so it's no big deal.

yeah I did some reading this afternoon and found a lot of OBD2 people using it so I guess that theory is out the window. I was thinking that there was maybe a difference in the way obd 1 and 2 communicated rpms with the ecu. like a different trigger. I guess I'll just have to go back and double check the RPM wire.
BTW - which wire did you tap for the rpms?
